Therapeutic Art Program

Hello my name is Celencia Gladden. I became a Therapeutic Art Life Coach to strengthen and enhance our Therapeutic Art Program, allowing me to bring greater knowledge, structure, and purpose to the creative activities and support we provide. My goal is to use the healing power of art to help individuals express their emotions, build confidence, develop healthy coping skills, and find hope through creativity and self-expression.

Therapeutic art is a powerful form of creative expression that uses art-making activities to support emotional well-being, self-expression, healing, and personal growth. It provides individuals with a safe and supportive outlet to express emotions, reduce stress, build confidence, and develop healthy coping skills—especially for those who may struggle to express their feelings through words or have limited access to traditional mental health services.
Through drawing, painting, crafts, and other creative activities, therapeutic art creates opportunities for individuals to connect with themselves and others while experiencing a sense of accomplishment, belonging, and hope. It is an accessible and meaningful way to promote mental wellness and emotional healing within the community.
