Welcome To Our Teen Program!
Being a teenager with mental health challenges can feel overwhelming, lonely, and difficult—but no teen should have to face those challenges alone.
We created our Teen Program to provide a safe, welcoming, and supportive space where teens can feel heard, understood, accepted, and valued.
Our program gives teenagers an opportunity to connect with others who may be facing similar experiences, express themselves without judgment, and learn that their feelings matter.
Through support groups, discussion groups, therapeutic art, self-care activities, and other supportive experiences, we help teens develop healthy coping skills, strengthen communication, build confidence, express their emotions in positive ways, and develop practical tools to navigate difficult moments.
Most importantly, we want every teen who participates to know:You are not alone.Your voice matters.Your feelings matter. You matter.
Our Teen Program is more than a place to participate—it is a place where teens can connect, grow, discover their strengths, and feel supported on their mental health journey.
Support Groups
Support Groups Are an Important Part of MHSFF’s Teen Program.
At Mental Health Support For Teens, we believe teens should have a safe place where they can talk, connect, and feel understood.
Our Teen Program support groups give teenagers experiencing mental health challenges an opportunity to share their experiences, connect with peers, and receive encouragement in a supportive environment.
Our support groups are tailored to the unique needs and experiences of the individuals in our program.
Through our support groups, teens can:
1. Talk openly about their experiences and feelings.
2. Connect with other teens who may understand what they are going through.
3. Learn healthy coping and communication skills.
4. Build confidence and self-awareness.
5. Learn practical ways to manage difficult emotions and stressful situations.
6. Give and receive encouragement and support.
Our goal is to help teens feel heard, understood, connected, supported, and valued while giving them practical tools they can use in their everyday lives.
Group Discussion
Our discussion groups are an important part of our Teen Program. They provide a safe, supportive space where teens can talk openly about their experiences, feel heard and understood, develop healthy coping skills, and learn practical strategies for managing the effects of mental health challenges.
Our discussion groups use structured worksheets, educational guides, and interactive activities to help teens better understand their mental health and develop practical skills they can use in everyday life.
Through guided discussions and activities, teens have opportunities to reflect on their experiences, identify healthy coping strategies, practice communication and problem-solving skills, manage difficult emotions, and build confidence.
Our goal is to help teens leave each discussion group with practical skills, greater confidence, and supportive connections that they can carry into their everyday lives.
Through group discussions, activities, and peer support, teens will have opportunities to:
- Identify healthy coping strategies they can use when experiencing stress or difficult emotions.
- Increase confidence in managing stressful situations and mental health challenges.
- .Practice healthy communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Participate in activities that promote self-esteem, confidence, and positive self-expression.
- Recognize and communicate their emotions, needs, and concerns more effectively.
- Develop healthier ways to manage stress, difficult emotions, and everyday challenges.
- Build supportive connections with peers and develop a stronger sense of belonging.
